Moving into a house
Dear Boyfriend and I will be moving into a house in September. We'll need to buy new kitchen appliances, a washer and dryer, and a lawnmower. In addition, the house will need to be be cleaned up and repainted before we move into it. The lease at my apartment is up in October so I expect to have the mortgage, rent, and electric to pay at two places for one month. I'm very excited about moving into a house. I've been living in an apartment since 2005. However, all the extra expenses are not at all want I need right now! I'm considering getting a second job, but I'm also in school right now. In addition, the new house is an hour away from my current full-time job. I know myself well enough that I'll put school on the side in order to get a paycheck. I'm desperately trying to get an income online, but so far there's not much money accumulating. Right now I'm only averaging about $11/hour at my job. (I'm on commission.)

Moving into a new place is definitely expensive!
I just got married and moved out on my own and I've spent so much money just getting the basics for this apartment.. it's not even funny. And I'm no where close to actually finishing furnish the place!
Good luck... save every little you can.. and remember slow and steady wins the race. :)

When I first moved into an apartment, I had to buy everything from scratch. One of the big mistakes I made was that I didn't utilize sites such as Craigslist to get used stuff.
