Earning Money on EHow: One article at a time and hope of earning $1000 a month

I recently joined Ehow.com which is a community that allows members to contribute articles in the format of how to steps. You can write about anything. Basically each article has ads on it and you get a % of the money earned from ads clicked. It's a supportive community of all kinds of writers. As of April 12, 2010, I have 14 articles that have been viewed a total of 95 times. I've only earned $0.18. There are ebooks floating around about how to earn more, but I don't want to put down $25. My plan is to learn as much as I can about keywords to increase my earnings and to write several articles a week.

My user ID is cvillelady if you'd like to read any of my articles.

There are people out there earning $1000 a month from their articles once they've written hundreds of them. Basically it's considered a mostly passive income because once you've written many good ones that attract visitors and have reached an audience with an interest in clicking on your ads, you don't really have to keep writing as frequently. The articles should be a minimum of a couple of steps and most writers report taking about an hour to write an article if it's something they have to research about first.

Check out Ehow.com to see for yourself.

Hey! Just happened to find your blog from a comment you left elsewhere. I'm really happy I stopped by!

You're blog reminds me of mine when I first started! Please keep up with it, and please keep up learning about SEO and Keywords, etc. It'll pay off in the end! I'm talking from experience.

I'm going to follow your blog cuz I like your writing style and I think you're capable of earning quite a bit from online if you stick to what you're doing.

BTW.. eHow seems like a great passive income. I actually have an account with them and wrote a couple of eHows myself, but don't have the time to keep up with it. Who knows.. maybe in the future when my life settles down a bit.

Keep up the great work!

Since I wrote my article on using EHow, they've changed their membership requirements. When I joined, anyone could write for them. Now there is an application process. I haven't written any articles for several months now because I haven't gotten around to the application. The articles I wrote before the membership change have only accumulated a couple of dollars, but this is mostly because I haven't written a bunch of articles yet.
